Collaboration is key

The   Council   plays   an   important   role   in   enabling   a   company   to   function   well   in   achieving   its   goals.   In   doing   so,   the   Works   Council   represents its   supporters,   which   are   all   the   employees   of   the   organisation.   Would   you   like   your   Works   Council   to   influence   the   decision   making   process in   a   positive   way?   Then   it   is   crucial   for   your   Works   Council   to   be   well   grounded   and   well   briefed.   Collaboration   is   key   and   constructive,   clear communication between you, as a manager, and the Works Council equally important.

Training and mentoring

A   Works   Council   is   steeped   in   industry   knowledge,   know-how   and   experience.   Working   together,   all   that   can   be   used   for   the   better.   In   our training   sessions,   a   Council   practices   how   it   can   effectively   apply   its   experience   during   general   meetings.   Depending   on   your   needs   and   the needs   of   the   Works   Council   itself,   we   look   for   possibilities   to   involve   you   in   training   or   mentoring   exercises   in   your   management   capacity. The Works   Council   is   an   autonomous   body   and   ought   to   remain   so.   The   training   courses   we   run   are   in   keeping   with   that   vision,   yet   are   focused on longterm collaboration and effectiveness.

vision regarding the work of the Works Council rights and duties according to the Dutch Works Council Act (Dutch: Wet op de Ondernemingsraden) the Works Council statutes strategy of the Works Council working plan how to build a solid team / team building communicating with co-workers (those the Council represents) how to write communiqués to Council constituents running meetings in a fun and action-oriented way meeting and negotiation skills (actor included!) coached meeting between the Works Council and management company strategy SWOT analysis of the company financial & economic policies social policies collaboration with trade unions

Given   that   the   needs   of   each   Works   Council   differ,   and   each   Council   is   in   a   different   stage   of   development,   our   Works   Council   training sessions are tailored to specific requirements. Depending on your organisation’s unique situation, we can provide additional support: in formulating a vision for re-structuring and mergers at critical decision points during re-structuring and mergers regarding working conditions regarding work agreements between the Works Council and management in negotiations about terms of employment (if unions do not offer support) achieving a participatory structure (central-, group-, Works Council, departmental committee) Would you like to request a quotation or make an appointment?
